What is write.exe?

WRITE.EXE is known as Windows Write or Wordpad, which is created by Microsoft Company and is part of Microsoft Windows Operating System. There are two separate instances of WRITE.EXE in two different locations. Up to now, no security alert has been sent on this process itself. If you are really sure of a Trojan or virus with it, you have to look at the spelling of the file name carefully to make sure that no mistake is made about this file.

Microsoft Write is preinstalled with Windows operating system as the primary word processor. Ever since it came into being, it has been improved to the least extent and always kept compatible to early versions of MacWrite, which only work with Write files. Write.exe is gradually added with the ability to read and edit .doc documents, then enable OLE.

Write.exe is a powerful word processor and has special features for formatting document, such as a selection of font, text modifications and paragraph formation for different parts of the document. Different from WordPad, Write.exe can generate a useful paragraph. The Write features are being supported by some third party products, such as Atari ST that was released once and has not been updated ever since.

Write.exe is best performed in the same file format as Word and it is unnecessary for you do a conversion in the course of file exchange. It is required by the related program for working smoothly; by default, this file is located in one of the following folders: "C:\ Windows"\, C:\ Program Files\, C:\ Program Files\ Common Files\, C:\ WINDOWS\ system32".

Why do I have errors?

The Write.exe file appears quite ordinary, but when it is corrupted or damaged, you will suffer from the common write.exe errors mentioned above. The issue can be some sort of configuration problem, a windows update, and conflicts in the register entries. It can be caused by the removal of one or more virus attacks. The settings of Write.exe have already been modified by the infection, and they become no better after the infection cleaning up by your AV, such as SMADAV antivirus. It is hard to tell what the virus is but it has made many strange folders.

This problem occurs only after re-installing the operating system or the driver update. You know the drives installed are fine because the built-in application to write the system restore discs is able to write and certify all three required DVDs. Write cache of system drive cannot be enabled and it is impossible to reset the drive.

When you sent the folder to the My Passport, there was no error, but there is an error when you try to access the folder. Besides, if you try to "copy and paste" folders or files, the error appears. One of your external hard drive disks has somehow been write protected. You try to change accounts permissions for the effected drive, but the write protection will not allow it. You also check the device policies in the registry but there are no storage device policies listed in any of the control sets.

Solutions to resolving Write.exe errors
